You will reap the benefits of massage when it becomes a regular part of your life. Rather than just considering massage as an occasional treat or as pampering, it can be a non-medical adjunct that addresses structural issues and discomfort. One of my goals is for us to work together to take better care of your long-term health.
Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling and what you want to accomplish in order to best help you. Be sure to let me know everything that is bothering you. IMPORTANTLY, you are the boss in our relationship. I want you to feel free to communicate anything you want in terms of pressure, location, duration, room temperature, music volume, ANYTHING. In turn, I will address the areas most important to you during your treatment, and not just do some standard routine.
As a nutritional expert and consultant, as well as a personal fitness trainer since 1997, I will be happy to share my wealth of knowledge about food and exercise to support your well-being.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness, or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life-enhancing. I would be pleased to work with you to accomplish that.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
By starting gently and gradually increasing pressure, the benefits can be achieved without pain. Areas that are not normally addressed, such as hips, can be relieved.
There are three areas of the body at which there are points that correlate to every part of the body: The feet, hands, and ears. By working with those points, the corresponding body parts can be relieved of discomfort.
The body's muscles, ligaments, and tendons can become misaligned and cause correlating misalignment of the skeletal structure. By restoring proper relationship of the body's muscles and bones to each other, its "tensegrity" (tensional integrity) can be restored. Hips, necks, ankles, and upper and lower backs are only a few of the areas that can be relieved.
